The Transportation Security Administration now requires
background checks for non-US citizens for all flight training even
aircraft under the older 12,500 pound rule.
Effective October 20th as per 49 CFR part 1552 any candidate for
flight training needs to have a background check. US citizens need
to prove citizenship with a birth certificate or US passport and a
photo ID. Foreign students need to apply for a background check on
this web site
https://www.flightschoolcandidates.gov/ before coming for
training. We will then need to inform them of your intent to
receive flight training, send them a current photo of you and your
fingerprints.
Upon receipt of the required information they will email us that we
can train you.
